ANTHONY ALAN PONDER's Obituary
Anthony Alan Ponder was born October 20, 2021 and was received into this world with so much love. He was a happy and healthy little boy who absolutely loved to smile and play. Anthony is survived by his parents, Flor Quevedo and Andrew Ponder; his siblings, Angela, Andrew, and Andrea Ponder; his grandparents, Johnnie Bell Ponder, Miguel Quevedo, and Blanca Quevedo; aunts and uncles Shereeta, Joshua, Timothy, Jason, Maurice, Allison, and Joans Ponder, Miguel Jr., Roberto, and Jesús Quevedo; and plenty more. He is predeceased by his papa, Mr. Garie Ponder.
Anthony, or Tony as we lovingly called him, completed us as a family. He was our second boy, and a total match to his big sister's personality. Everything about him was perfect to us. His papa, Mr. Garie Ponder, predicted that we would be expecting and that we would be completing our little group. Anthony was a blessing to all of us. Unfortunately, Anthony and Papa never met. They were both at the same hospital when Anthony was born, and Papa passed before they could meet. They are now together in God's heavenly kingdom.
For the short amount of time that this precious boy was here with us, he lived a very happy and beautiful little life. He was full of love and life. He was, as his siblings put it, such a cheeky and fun little guy. He loved to eat, laugh, chase his siblings around, his favorite shows were Paw Patrol, Daniel Tiger, and Peppa Pig, his favorite song ever was the BZRP song with Shakira, he ate everything but absolutely loved watermelon and oranges and he would ask us for more by saying and signing it in ASL, he loved to mess and argue with his mami and then pucker up and ask for a kiss after, he loved to cuddle up to his daddy as the complete daddy's boy that he was, he enjoyed his cars and playing transformers and spiderman with his big brother, he loved cuddling up to his big sister because she spoiled him with all her love, he loved to chase and aide his partner, Drea, in all the little troublesome moments they had.
We are so thankful to God for allowing us to have you, to hold you, to love and protect you, and to enjoy you for as long as we did.
Unfortunately, God called our sweet angel home on May 11, 2023. Unbeknownst to us, he was suffering from a brain tumor. God granted our little warrior the strength to push through the pain for as long as he did, and he was able to enjoy a very, very happy little life. We find solace in knowing that our precious boy can no longer feel pain, and that he is in good hands with our mighty Lord in his blessed kingdom.
We love you forever, our cheeky little Sonshine. Thank you for all the precious little smiles and all the wonderful memories. Until we meet again.
