Annie Kate Davis' Obituary
Annie Kate Davis, affectionally known as "Sister" by her family, was born March 5, 1946 in Montezuma, Georgia to the late Tommie Lee Fulks and Minnie Lloyd Daniels.
Kate received her education at Macon County school district in Montezuma, Georgia. Upon graduation, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she met her beloved husband of 49 years, John Edward Davis, in which she was a devoted wife.
She worked at Sophie Mae Corporation for 13 years, where she met her dear friend Jergen Mack. Throughout her retirement years, she provided childcare to several children, and she had a special love for Shaunita Smith-Badmas and Alexisia Floyd, known as her "Pooh." She enjoyed cooking several dishes such as her homemade pancakes, pecan pie, and sweet potato pie. She was also a diehard Falcons fan and was a season ticket holder for 6 years. Aside from cooking and watching sports, she also enjoyed traveling.
She had a refreshing relationship with her children Mack and Tisa, and grandchildren, Pierre and Malik. She had an undeniable friendship with her loving daughter Tisa who she did almost everything with as they were best friends. She also had an outstanding relationship with her siblings Earlean, Arnita, and Dennis, who she loved dearly.
Kate became a member of Jacob Tabernacle Holiness Church under Elder Eugene Robbins until the church closed in 2004. On December 25, 2011, Kate became an active member at Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church where she attended faithfully.
On November 30, 2022, Kate transitioned from this earthly life to be with the Lord.
Kate is proceeded in death by her husband John Edward Davis, parents Tommie Lee Fulks and Minnie Lloyd, and her brother Edward Daniels.
Leaving to cherish her memories is her son Mack Davis of Conyers, GA; daughter Tisa Davis of Lithonia, GA; 2 grandchildren Pierre Davis of Brooklyn, NY and Malik Brown of Lithonia, GA; 2 sisters Earlean Jones of Tampa, FL and Arnita Suggs of Atlanta, GA; 1 brother Dennis Daniels of Oglethorpe, GA; 7 brothers-in-law; Frank Davis Jr. of California; Johnnie Lee Davis (Mattie) of Alapaha, GA; Josh Davis (dec.) of Gainesville, GA; Coley Davis (dec.) of Nashville, GA; Nathaniel Davis (Tracy) of Douglas, GA; Larry Davis Sr. (Patricia) of Sparks, GA; and Theodis Harris (Linda) of Douglas, GA; 2 sisters-in-law; Willie Nelle Williams of Atlanta, GA; James and Mae (dec.) Sims of Decatur, GA; 4 nieces; Shondanette Jones, Sherena Daniels, China Daniels, and Angela Taylor Maddox; 5 nephews: Edward M. Daniels, Jason Daniels, Broderick Daniels, Christopher Suggs, and Terrence Suggs; 4 cousins; Mary Harmon of Macon, GA; Martha Collins of Atlanta, GA; Essie Duncan and Easter Mahone of Oglethorpe, GA; 2 dear friends; Joyce Stargill and Shirley Robinson; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and friends.
