Alice May Joseph's Obituary
Ms. Alice (Christopher) Joseph, AKA Mo Jo, was born to the late Rebecca James, May 20, 1929 in the Island of Antigua in the British West Indies. On Sept 6th 2016, an angel was commissioned to carry our beloved Mom, sister, grandma, friend, home to be with the Lord. Mo Jo gave her life to Christ as a young woman at Pentecostal Church in Antigua under the late Pastor Lee. When God called her home she was a member and church mother at Overcomers Cathedral Tabernacle of Prayer under Bishop Charles G. Porter Jr. Mo Jo was a very active person until the loss of her leg a few months ago. She frequented the Senior Center in Atlanta and In Winder, GA. She loved her ceramics, puzzles and painting. She also loved to sing even though she did not have the best of voice. She was a character. She spoke her mind and didn't care if you liked it or not. That was why she was loved by so many people. Mo Jo leaves to cherish precious memories, her five (5) children, Joan Knight, St Johns Antigua; Ira Shervington (Jarnin) Bronx, NY; Theophilus (Jennifer) Christopher, St Croix USVI; Philmore (Thelma) Christopher, St Croix USVI; Cordina Christopher (Charles) Porter, Winder GA; one sister Fernella Ambrose, Kissimmee FL.; 27 Grand Children, 28 great grand; and 10 great, great grand; three nieces, one nephew, great nieces; her good friend Sis Linzeta Hazell and a host of other relatives and friends.
