Alberta H Banks' Obituary
Mrs. Alberta (Hunt) Banks was born March 14, 1946 to the late parents John Henry Hunt and Savata (Mays) Hunt in Stockbridge, Ga.
She was raised and educated in the Henry County School System. She became a member of Bentley Hill United Methodist Church at a young age. During her active time there, she served on the Usher Board, sang with the Voices of Praise Choir, and was a member of the United Methodist Women.
Alberta was joined in marriage to Ludie Banks III on October 8, 1973. For 45 years, they enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the race track, and taking annual trips to Florida with their children. Her hobbies included were sewing, fishing, crocheting, cooking, and watching western movies. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She always looked forward to the holidays because she knew her family would all be there.
During her time in the workforce, she served many years with Rio Vista Seafood Restaurant, Kroger Meat Plant, Sweetheart Plastics, and retired from Dart Containers.
She has gained her heavenly wings and reunited with her sisters and brother: Larvata Gleaton (Slatter), Jenell Kafori, Martha Pearl Harper, and Clifford Norris.
She leaves to mourn her husband, Ludie Banks III, sister Geraldine Jackson, and five children, Monica Bailey, Wendy Cochran (Charles), Marvin Turner (Joyce), Kimberly Clark (Adrian), and Philip Banks. Two stepsons Ludie Banks IIII, and Eugene Banks (Kenyatta). Three first cousins Elmer Brown, Horace Stroud, and Annie Dorris Conners. Thirty-one grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and a hoste of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.
