Adrian Rashard Sawyer's Obituary
Adrian Rashard "AJ" Sawyer was born on June 2, 1996 in Conyers, Georgia. He was the third of four children born to Adrian R. Sawyer and Eugenia Y. McCollum.
Adrian was educated in the Rockdale/Newton County School System where he attended Honey Creek Elementary and Clements Middle School. He attended Newton High School and was elected class clown his senior year.
Adrian answered to serve the Lord at an early age. He joined Corinth Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Bishop William Davenport. He was also a member of the Youth Choir.
Adrian loved to sing and dance. He was apart of a group called R3, with his oldest brother Austin and cousin Damion.
On June 14, 2018, Adrian's life was blessed with the birth of his son Kayson O'mari Sawyer-Staton. Adrian was preceded in death by his son, on July 20, 2018.
Adrian had a passion for people and loved everyone whole heartedly. He leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, Adrian R. Sawyer and Eugenia Y. McCollum; siblings: Andrea S. Johnston, Austin R. Sawyer, Adrianna R. Sawyer; Grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. T. R. Collins (Essie); Mr. George Petty, Mr. Eugene McCollum and Mrs. Janice Heard; Aunts and Uncles: Mr. & Mrs. Stanley T. Gordon (Teresa); Mr. & Mrs. Derrick L. Cooper (WoAnge); Mr. & Mrs. DeAnthony McCollum (Sylvie) and Javares McCollum; Mr. & Mrs. Daniel Petty (Toni); one niece: Aubrey Christiana Hardge; one nephew: Jayce Carson Hardge; and a devoted friend: Kylia T. Staton and a host of great aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
