Addie Jo Henderson Walker was born May 10, 1931, to the late CorrineHenderson-Pitts and Charlie Henderson. She was the oldest of three siblings and hadan unbreakable bond with her sister, Margaret Ruth, and brother, Walter Russell. Shewas known for her beauty and her love for dancing with family and friends. Addie Jogrew up in Conyers, Ga where she attended Rockdale County Schools, and graduatedfrom John Phillip Carr High School. She was a member of Rock Temple AME Church.
Addie Jo was united in marriage to Mr. Charles Walker, November 21,1963.They were married for 59 years. Along with raising their family, she worked in thecleaning industry for many years. After retirement she devoted her time to her family,and her favorite things included growing beautiful plants, decorating her home withpictures of her family and cooking. When entering her home, you were welcomed by allthree.As peacefully as she lived, she peacefully transitioned into the arms of our heavenlyFather on March 16, 2023. Along with her parents, Addie Jo was preceded in death bytwo of her children; Brian Keith and Teresa Danette, and her brother Walter. Addie Jo'slegacy will continue through her devoted family; her husband, Mr. Charles Walker,children; Dr. Charlotte Anthony (Fred), Mr. Timothy Favors, Mrs. Felicia Morris (Garry),Mr. Stevie Walker, Mr. Felix Walker (Isadora), Mr. Eric Walker, two bonus children, Mrs.Donna Chisolm (Anthony) and Mr. Scott Walker, 26 grandchildren, 26 greatgrandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one sister, Mrs. Margaret Ruth Ingram, twospecial nieces, Dr. Graneze Scott and Mrs. Deloris Maxwell, a special cousin, SheriffMelody Maddox along with a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends
